this isn't a food blog but i have to say the meal we had here was fantastic (spectacularly fresh trout). they also offer breakfasts, soups, sandwiches, quiches, tarts, cakes and an amazing array of deli choices. their menu is friendly to meat-lovers and vegans alike and provides choices for gluten intolerant folk. they also have wines and beers - happy days.
and...yes, there's more, they also have lovely local goodies like honey, flavoured oils and teas sourced from eteaket among many other tasty treats to take home.
so, the coffee? cracking! using artisan roast, fitting with their ethic of using local providers, the flat white i tried was marvelous. rich, soft, robust, round, delicious. perfect temperature, perfect cup size.
edinburgh larder is spot on and all foodies (and coffee lovers) will find joy here :)
